Spy Kids Half Term, Royal Gunpowder Mills, Beaulieu Road, Waltham Abbey. Saturday 23rd May 2015 – Sunday 31st May 2015
“Join us in your best disguise to break codes, go undercover, foil espionage and reveal double-agents; there’ll be secrets to uncover and missions to complete all week. Professor Nitrate’s doing some highly hush-hush work, and you can help keep his secrets under wraps. Special activities include the night vision and bomb disposal challenge, test your speed and agility on the assault
course and complete super sleuth training in the Mad Lab and on the test range to determine how good a Spy Kid you really are!”

May Half term at Hyde Hall. RHS Hyde Hall, Creephedge Lane, Rettendon, 23rd May – 31st May 2015
There are activities running each day for children to take part in, plus special activity days throughout the week. These include Lolly Stick Happy Flowers, Flower King and Queen Pary Hats, and Summer Sun Catchers. A great way to help children discover nature and the garden.

Prepare your bow and perfect your curtsey as you meet Queen Elizabeth I on her royal progress.
Join in the merry making with minstrels and music as the Duke of Norfolk will be welcoming her royal highness.

Beautiful Bugs. High Woods Country Park, Colchester. Thursday 28 Mayth 2015 10am – 12noon, £4.20 per child. Book in advance
Explore the woodland and wildflower meadows to discover the bugs that inhabit these areas. Afterwards join the Ranger for a craft activity.
