Essex Days Out

We’ve been going to the NSPCC’s book fair in Colchester for many, many years!  In recent years it’s been at the Holmwood House School on Chitt’s Hill, and uses their sports hall to lay out long trestle tables on which 30,000 or so books, jigsaws, and CDs are sold.

It can be a bit of a scrum at times!

There’s a children’s section, as well, so definitely an option for book loving families on a wet autumn weekend. You’ll find the school just off J26 on the A12, postdoce CO3 9ST for satnav or multimapping.
