firstsite in Colchester has a wide range of films and live ‘screenings’ on offer. In recent years we’ve seen shorts from the East Anglia Film Archive, documentaries about Dr. Feelgood and Wilko Johnson, a couple of SF films, and the live streamed performances of ‘Hangmen'(David Morrisey as the last British hangman in a great black comedy), ‘Frankenstein’ (Benedict Cumberbatch as the monster) and ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’ (Gillian Anderson as Blanche Dubois).
