Temple at War
The first ‘Temple At War’ Military Fair took place at Cressing Temple on the weekend of Saturday 16th – Sunday 17th May 2015.
Showcasing the past 100 years of Military History, Temple at War featured the First World War, Second World War and the Cold War, and spontaneous and dramatic scenes were be re-enacted by enthusiastic groups from around the UK who are immersed in living the lives of ‘characters past’.
There were stands where you could talk to the re-enactors, food and drink, and stalls – including ones with vintage clothes and weapons should you have been bitten by the bug and wanted to get kitted out! You got to see the huge barns that make Cressing Temple famous, and could wander through their lovely walled garden. A great day out in sunny weather, and watch out for a repeat of the event in 2016!
